Join the Community Effort to Bring Joy and Play Back to Our Children

With over 160 pupils, Caegarw Primary School has been at the heart of the local community since it opened in 1896. Over time, its playground equipment had fallen into disrepair due to age, and the school’s Headteacher, Huw Griffiths, called upon the local community to help.

Our Progress

Our Mission: Building a Safe and Fun Playground

Caegarw Primary School, located in the heart of Mountain Ash, is a beloved institution serving over 160 pupils. Unfortunately, the playground equipment has become outdated, and we need your help to build something new for our children. Our goal is to raise £20,000 by 2025 to install a new climbing frame and other playground features that will benefit generations to come.

A Community-Led Initiative

This effort is led by T Samuel Estate Agents in partnership with local businesses and community volunteers.

We’ve launched a special renovation project, where T Samuel Estate Agents will cover all renovation costs, and 100% of the profits from the sale of the fully renovated home will go directly to the Project Playground fund!

Together, we can fast-track the development of this new playground and see it realized sooner than expected.

Big Milestones, Small Helmets!

We hit a major milestone on October 11th when we officially acquired the property! And who better to inspect it than our tiniest and most enthusiastic project managers? A group of Caegarw Primary School students donned their blue hard hats and headed over to give the building a proper look over. Their verdict? "It needs a LOT of work!"

Kids on the Case!

These future construction experts explored every nook and cranny of the building, checking for "safety hazards" (read: spider webs) and ensuring everything is up to their high standards! We’ve captured these little adventurers in action, and we can’t wait to share the fun moments.

What’s Next?

Thanks to the community’s generosity, we’ve already raised £5,000, and with your help, we’re well on our way to reaching the £20,000 goal. The renovation is now underway, and we’re all hands on deck to transform this space into a dream home – and ultimately, an amazing playground for the kids of Mountain Ash.
